NO. 01 Feature sheet · Quick Log

Setup is one tap now

The app you never open still logs it.

Double tap the back of your iPhone — amount, category, payment, done in three taps while the app stays closed. Setting it up takes exactly one.

NO. 02 How it works

One tap to set up. Three taps to log.

Set it up in one tap

In Potraces go to Settings, then Money Setup, then Quick Log, and tap 'Set up in one tap'. The app builds your key and downloads the shortcut for you, then a share sheet opens: tap 'Shortcuts', then 'Add Shortcut'. Last, turn on Back Tap in iPhone Settings under Accessibility, Touch, Back Tap, Double Tap, and pick 'Potraces Quick Log'. Nothing to copy, nothing to paste — and there's a real picture for every step.

Double tap the back

A prompt pops up over whatever's on screen. Type the amount, pick a category, pick how you paid. Note if you want — skip if you don't.

It saves itself

Potraces files it in the background. A notification says 'Logged RM12.50' — tap it and the entry's already sitting in your book.

NO. 03 More ways in

Or jot it in Notes and let Echo file it.

Scribble 'bayar Astro 89.90 tiap bulan' into the app's notes and Echo spots the commitment, the amount, the schedule — then offers to add it properly. Watch it happen on the right, captured straight from the app.

NO. 04 Logging without the app

Three ways to log without opening it.

Method How it works

Back Tap

Double tap the back of your phone anytime and log an expense in seconds. Amount, category, payment, done. Three taps. Works for cash, QR, card, anything.

Apple Pay auto log

Pay with Apple Pay and it logs by itself. Set up Back Tap first and do one back tap log, because Apple Pay auto log runs on that same key. After that there is no double tap and nothing for you to build. The shortcut reads the amount and the shop name on its own. The entry lands as Other, so tap the notification to set the real category.

Share to Log

See the payment? Share it — don't open anything. Screenshot the Maybank or TnG success screen, share a PDF receipt from your email, or forward a payment text, and pick Potraces in the share sheet. It reads the amount, shop, date and wallet right on your phone (offline, nothing uploaded), pings you 'Logged', and the entry is there next time you open the app. Receipts are filed to the Receipts screen too, with the original PDF attached. Unpaid invoices and failed payments are skipped on their own.

iPhone only, on iOS 16 or newer. It uses iOS Back Tap and the Shortcuts app. Setup lives inside Potraces under Settings, Money Setup, Quick Log, with a picture for every step. All you need is a free Potraces account. No paid plan, no Cloud Backup. Apple Pay auto log only catches Apple Pay contactless taps, so it will not see DuitNow QR, Touch n Go or cash, and only a few Malaysian banks support Apple Pay. Share to Log needs no setup at all — it works from any app's share sheet, on iPhone and Android, and the reading happens on your phone, not our servers.

Set it up once. It takes one tap.
